About Us

22 Years on the Wall. Now Statewide Across Connecticut.

We started in the most permit-heavy, inspection-heavy market in the country, New York City, and built our standards there. Today we bring that same discipline to scaffolding, sidewalk sheds, and access logistics for contractors across all 8 Connecticut counties.

Our Story

Connecticut Scaffolding didn’t start in Connecticut.

We got our start in 2004 working New York City jobsites: dense downtown blocks, tight sidewalks, DOB inspectors, and zero margin for error. If your scaffold wasn’t load-rated right, if your sidewalk shed permit wasn’t filed correctly, if your competent person wasn’t actually on-site, the job stopped. NYC doesn’t give you a second chance to get it wrong.

That environment built the way we still operate today: load-rated to spec on every build, formal engineering sign-offs for anything non-standard, and an OSHA-certified competent person on-site for every setup and dismantling, no exceptions.

Over 22 years, we expanded that standard north. Today, Connecticut Scaffolding runs inventory hubs across all 8 counties, from Greenwich to the Massachusetts line, from Stamford’s corporate corridor to the docks in New London, with the same 2-4 hour dispatch window regardless of zip code.

We didn’t lower the bar to go statewide. We just moved it.

Technical Scaffold Types for Every Site

Connecticut Scaffolding provides the following scaffold types, each matched to a different build:

Scaffolding

Frame, system (ringlock), pipe, suspended/swing stage, mobile, and tube-and-clamp, matched to your site's geometry and load requirements.

Sidewalk Sheds

Designed and installed to meet pedestrian protection and municipal permit requirements.

Traffic Barriers:

Jersey and water-filled barriers for perimeter security and traffic control.

Temporary Fencing

Modular panels for site security and crowd management.

Permitting

We file directly with Stamford's Engineering Department, Hartford's Public Works Permit Division, New Haven's Office of Building Inspection & Enforcement, and Bridgeport's Licensing & Permits, because "we handle the paperwork" only means something if you actually know each department's process.

How We Work

A single-vendor approach that handles the engineering, permitting, and execution so your project stays on schedule.

  • You get moving in hours, not days. Our equipment dispatches within a 2–4 hour window, reaching any site in the state from the I-95 corridor to the rural north.
  • Safety is engineered into the frame. Every build is load-rated to spec, and we secure formal engineering sign-offs for non-standard layouts before a single piece is staged.
  • Compliance is our baseline, not an add-on. A competent, OSHA-trained professional supervises every setup and teardown, ensuring your site meets 1926 Subpart L standards from start to finish.
  • Your budget stays transparent. We break out mobilization, permits, and engineering stamps as individual line items, so you always know exactly what you are paying for and why.
  • The job isn’t done until we’re gone. Our responsibility continues long after the initial build, with our team managing site coordination and a clean, efficient dismantling process.

Why It Matters Who You Call

A scaffold company that treats every job like NYC treats every job, full compliance, full documentation, no shortcuts, is a company that keeps your project moving instead of stopping it. Permits get rejected. Inspections catch shortcuts. The weather closes windows fast. You want a vendor who’s already seen the worst version of that problem and built a process around it.

That’s what 22 years in this business gets you. We’d rather bring that experience to your site than explain it after something goes wrong.
